Introducing Brent Best
Contemporary Digital Art Photographer
"The love for creating art has been a passion my entire life. High school, college, and graduate school years found me exploring drawing, painting, sculpture, print making, ceramics, and photography.
In recent years, photography has moved into the forefront of my creative life. Digital cameras were born in my lifetime. That gave me an instant visual gratification that changed my creative mind. Traditional photography has already found its special place in the world of art and artists. It is time to have computers and digital cameras enter into the art world sanctum.
I am sitting with a mountain of photographs that I have taken on many trips around the world, on hiking and rafting adventures, on the streets and along dusty roads. Whether I am looking at architecture, canyon walls, ocean waves, mountain streams, forest trees, people or animals, my eyes are looking at color, composition, texture, shapes, and forms. I always search for a way to capture and convey a feeling to evoke an emotion with my photos.
Digital photography has given me the ability to create new visual realities and offers me a way to go down new avenues for greater artistic expression.
I hope you will enjoy looking deep into my images and feel the emotions that I try to place in every photo."

"Because I start with a creative vision, add technical skill, and emotional impact with a camera, a computer and a printer to produce my photos,
I have chosen the word "ALTERATIONS" to represent this body of work."
Alterations: "to cause, to become something different in some particular characteristic without changing into something else."
