Born to an artistic Massachusetts family, Carol Jenkins grew up surrounded by the oil paintings of her great-grandmother who traveled to White Mountains to paint with an early plein air society of the 1890's. As a child, Carol would rather "stay home and paint" then attend school. Carol has lived in the Rocky Mountains and has been a professional painter of oils and pastels for many years, most recently garnering awards for her plein air oil paintings. Artist Statement
"I am continuously excited by the abstract design quality of a scene, particularly in nature, and being able to translate that vision through the color and stroke of my brush. So many great painters of the past and present inspire and excite me. I aspire to do paintings that would bring the same type of joy to others. Painting is my passion."
